My name is Derek Benton and no one knows the real estate market in the area better than Benton Real Estate, a company founded by my brother Ben.
I am a native of Western Massachusetts. In my youth, I played sports and belonged to organizations in the Pioneer Valley. I am a 1996 graduate of Agawam High School and in 2000 graduated from Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts. During my college years I worked as an assistant to the President of the college as well as for State Senator and Minority Leader Brian Lees at the statehouse in Boston.
Upon graduation, I spent two years with Senator Lees in his Western Massachusetts district as his Executive Assistant gaining “hands on” experience with businesses and constituents. Prior to becoming a full-time real estate agent for Benton Real Estate Company, I was the Sales Manager for deRenzy Document Solutions in West Springfield marketing business equipment to area businesses.
My commitment to the community stems from a long family history of involvement. I am a fourth generation Rotarian having been an active member of the Rotary Club of West Springfield since 2002. In 2001 I became a significant role model and mentor to a young man as part of Big Brothers/Big Sisters. I am a member of the Allocations Committee of the Community United Way of the Pioneer Valley and serve on the board of the Berkshire Power Community Allocations Committee. Having had a childhood disability myself, I have taken great pride in being a volunteer in the Child Life Department at Shriners Children’s Hospital in Springfield. I am also a member of the Masons and The Melha Shriners.
As you can see, I am a person with integrity who is committed to helping others. When I tell you that I will provide you with personal attention and care, you can have confidence that I will deliver the best possible results. That is my pledge. Please call me to discuss your needs. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Derek J. Benton
